Forever Fundraiser

This February, the Logan County Community Foundation (LCCF) is hosting a Forever Fundraiser (formerly Match Month). This initiative is supported by the Dane G. Hansen Foundation, which has offered to match $50,000 in donations dollar-for-dollar, for all funds raised in the month of February. As an extra incentive, if we meet the $50,000 match total, the Hansen Foundation will graciously provide an additional $25,000 in operational support for the LCCF.

This year, in order to help improve understanding of our foundation’s vision for the future, we are referring to our permanent endowment as the Logan County Forever Fund. The reason is that the intent of this endowment is for funds to grow in perpetuity – which means that they will grow forever – with a maximum of 5% of funds to be distributed back to the community each year via grants awarded to organizations in Logan County.

With the contribution you make today, our community will earn a 100% return from the Hansen Foundation’s match, and your donation will be invested for long term growth, with 5% of the earnings to be shared back to the community…forever! In 2021, the value of the Logan County Forever Fund was approximately $700,000 and we distributed $18,000 in earnings to 11 Logan County organizations through the Match Day campaign held on November 26th. Please visit our website loganccf.org to learn about these 11 Match Day fundraisers and to see all the other grants we have awarded since 2016.

Just think what a difference the Logan County Forever Fund can make when our endowment grows to $10,000,000, enabling us to return $500,000 back to this community every year! With your help, we have the potential to add $100,000 to the Forever Fund this month alone. Donations must be received in February for us to receive the Dane Hansen match. We hope we can count on your support of this important fundraising endeavor to grow the “Logan County Forever Fund”. No donation amount is too small for this challenge!
